I’m Robert Nelson, a multidisciplinary artist working in mixed media, digital composition, and pen‑and‑ink drawing. My practice focuses on expressive anatomical studies and layered mark‑making, using distortion, texture, and iterative processes to explore transformation within the human form.
Recurring symbols—such as watchers, moths, crows, skulls, thresholds, and eclipses—appear throughout my work. These motifs create continuity across series and serve as structural elements within a personal visual system.
Across early ink drawings, digital studies, and recent mixed‑media pieces, my work examines how images evolve, break apart, and reassemble over time. I’m based in Georgia, where I continue developing a body of work centered on anatomy, symbolism, and the mechanics of visual transformation.
